- Conflict resolution skills: learning the ability to repair even if you do not stay together learning how to repair can clear of years of resentment.
- Emotional regulation: Develop the abilities to manage ones own emotions during challenging conversations.
- Vulnerability and Transparency: Encouraging partners to express their fears, hopes, dreams openly which leads to building deeper trust and connection.
- Gratitude and Appreciation Expressions: Practicing gratitude and appreciation regularly will nurture positive regard adding to feeling valued, loved and seen.
10 session approach as a place to start
- First 3 sessions is for me to get to know the finer details of your relationship, your relationship dynamics and your challenging issues. We'll find out what you two are looking to get out of therapy.
- Next 3 sessions will be to implement new strategies of communication and practices in order to break some bad habits and to establish new ones.
- The next 4 sessions will be for ongoing issues and for you to continue to practice and upgrade the process of being relationally aware with each other while learning to resolve conflicts as they arise to continue to find your way back in to love together.
